OT: Week ending thoughts to a tough week! Reality check..Just to be 100% clear, this week stunk for me. I got my butt beat really good!! We had the PLX win but down on most plays. Down well over $20,000 in the past two days from my biotech beatdown. Was overaggressive on some adds. This too shall pass:) The market will correct and I will be smiling once again. Its the rough patches as traders that make you appreciate your successes. It's not always good or easy but it should not be if you want to be successful at it.
"Mama said there'd be days like this, there'd be days like this Mama said." Mama can also put the beatdown on you like LL Cool J and "Mama said knock you out." That is how my portfolio felt the past few days. Adding shares on plays I was already down on only to see them go lower. That is why you do your DD and have conviction in what you are doing, so you can weather these temporary storms. The market will turn here. I have seen my portfolio go north just as fast as south over the years. Some weeks you just say..."I stunk!!" Then you put your bootstraps on and start all over again the following week. That is what I will do next week. Appreciate all the support & kind comments on this board & how it has transformed how you trade. There are a lot of good people here with a lot more knowledge & insight than myself. That is why you can learn from traders here every day at any time. You all have been coming here for the past 5 yrs and as you know, I will tell the good as well as well as the bad. The bad weeks you have to encapsulate so you can come back stronger in the following weeks.
Will do some DD this week on some plays and update charts. Look forward to next week! One final note. Remember...none of this matters without your family, your health, or their good health. I see people, with a lot of money & material things, dying every day from cancer and I mean it when I say none of this really matters in the greater picture. What humbles you is family (w/pets) & friends. Money can only take you so far but its the people & pets you surround yourself with that can really take you where you need to & want to go. A place of total & complete comfort & security They are the ones that no matter what the circumstance they are there. Well for family & friends it is 90% (10% negotiable) but for animals (dogs) it is 100% unconditional love:). Now go enjoy your weekend! $heff
