Well, I guess this all adds up now...

Viiv is, I assume, the Tivo-like device that I had heard Apple was working on. And, yes, as you know, it will have a TPM.

Viiv is also the new CHANNEL (if you will) for distributing original movies. You say Pixar. I also say that the Intel Digital Home Venture Capitalist indicated that Morgan Freeman, Danny DeVito and other actors are now looking to produce their own films for Intel distribution. Freeman already has a co-venture with Intel. The VC guy (I met at Stanford) indicated that I should expect news about all of this (high-value content distribution and protection) by end of this year or first quarter of next. He said, "We're not waiting for Longhorn."

So, I guess all the dots add up now. Thanks for bringing us the picture.
