Intel Unveils Own PC Brand [commentary - what OS will come on this box and will it have a TPM?] By a WALL STREET JOURNAL Staff Reporter August 25, 2005; Page D4 SAN FRANCISCO -- Intel Corp. unveiled its new Viiv brand name of personal computers designed for digital home entertainment. Executives at the Intel Developer Forum said they expected to see the first Viiv PCs in the market during the first quarter of 2006. The Viiv machines will store and play television programs, with an optional TV tuner, and connect to DVD players, TV sets and stereos. The machines will display high-definition video and will be designed to work with remote controls.
