In what time frame? As far as I'm aware, Ford has posted higher pre-tax profits both for FY 2011 and Q4 2011 respectively. As far as shorts from the $15 range covering at new highs, well that would be a dumb move on the part of the shorts if you believe F sentiment is bearish, even more so if they took short positions at ~$15, and they must be trading LEAPS or some very long-term shorts. $13 holds some serious resistance here and if it's broken you're going to see a lot of trading strategies change drastically imo.
