It is totally inappropriate to treat a tentative date given in guidance as if it was a prediction written in stone as you are doing. (Taken in context it was very tentative and clearly a hope and not a prediction.) To so so exhibits either a total ignorance of the fundamental and unavoidable realities inherent in biological research or an unwillingness to accept that totally unavoidable reality.

To expect KBLB to meet that schedule exactly is like expecting a farmer to provide a bumper crop because he said back in the spring he expected he'd probably have one, it it was a good year.

To drive the point home: there is a fundamental and totally unavoidable reality here which you insist on ignoring: the pace of biological research is, and always will be, inherently highly variable and subject to both unexpected delays and more rapid than expected advances (the former far more common than the latter!).

Anyone who cannot come to terms with that reality is going to experience a very large amount of frustration when investing in biotechnology

Harry S. Truman: "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen." The kitchen is inherently hot and is not going to change its nature to suit your sensitivities.
