M-FoCS - MOUNTED FAMILY OF COMPUTER SYSTEMS

My best guess on the Army Sole Source contract for Wave is that it involves engineering in preparation for the M-FoCS program which I have posted about before. Maybe for the self healing capabilities mentioned before, compatibility w/ hot swappable drives, or some other customization.

It is a program run by the PM FBCB2 (noted in the sole source ) and is a springboard for the next gen of FBCB2, Win T, and others. The good news is that if my assumption is correct, then Wave is in the boxes. The bad news is that a contract for the program is not due to be awarded until 4Q'12 with a start in '13. Wave's portion would be ~ $ 5-15 M over a 5 year period depending on the components bundled and government mark up.

Of course, then again, maybe we could be in for an upside surprise for once....
