Like you, I wonder what their game really is. I don't think they're attorneys themselves, or they wouldn't say "sorted" when they mean "sordid", or "peaked" when they mean "piqued".

Whatever they're up to, they may paint themselves into a corner with CRWV. The direction they're currently taking is likely to lead them to an inevitable conclusion, should they pursue it honestly. And that conclusion won't support a favorable view of CRWV. It'll be very interesting to see whether they shy away from it.

How did they extend their invitation to Peterson? Not, I hope, by mail, using the address given at CRWV's website...
