I suspect that the risk tolerance of most, if not all, investors has dropped significantly over the last three years. 9/11, corporate governance and accounting frauds, major bankruptcies, WS analyst scandals, high profile insider trading violations, a potential war with Iraq, the threat of a nuclear attack (when was the last time you heard those words used), three straight down years in the stock markets, an economy that refuses to recover, etc., etc., have, or at least should have, made every investor recognize that the list of guarantees in life has not increased beyond death and taxes. Why should IDCC insiders be any different? Can you really blame them for socking some money away in this environment? Maybe we should be following their lead instead of chastising them.
