AMC:I'll take GOOGLE and/or APPL shares question though

If we get shares isn't there some lock up period for individual investors receiving the stock?

Also since once a deal is done it still takes a while to become final, there would be a delay before receiving the stock. I guess one could just sell their IDCC stock a few dollars below the final buyout price...

The biggest problem with shares ESPECIALLY if there's a lockup period is that if it is GOOGLE or APPL they're both trading at or near all time highs. If one thinks they're overvalued then we could take a hit on them.

I do think there are tax advantages to a stock swap though.

Anyone shed some light?
