Its simple marketing. A store owner has to get you into the store to sell you something. Very similar with a stock. For example I came into this stock as a trader many months ago. I had a very short trade in mind. While I was here my DD started because my money was in the stock. Long story short I became a long term investor. This campaign even though many partners are used is not that expensive. Great deals were struck. The benefits of using the money in a program like this far outweighs taking the money and buying back additional shares. Every company promotes themselves in some way. Major market companies run campaigns. The goal is to gain new long term investors and make this stock attractive to trade. The lack of volume has hurt this stock several times. People see the news come take a look . If they see little activity they tend to go away.
If the company has strong news the more that see it equates to more investors coming into the stock. A company that becomes proactive with their stock also attracts traders. Traders are a key element to a successful stock. Traders are the ones that ignite many big runs.

Your right just as I said. The company has to have solid news along the lines of what you are suggesting. I have to believe they would not run a campaign unless they felt their news was good enough. I do not know that what their news is. I hope its the things you suggest or of equal value. For that matter no one knows how the market will react to news. Life is a gamble
