"Do we think we did so bad that we now need to negotiate? Does anyone think nok is going to negotiate up." - good points, however:

* Nok does need a 3G license.
* IDCC has its 2G and 3G key assets under heavy fire.
* There is risk in the arb. award for both sides (more for IDCC, IMO).

Thus, there is some need for both parties to fix their deal and move forward, amicably, which may not have been possible until now.
