someone posted here that after 52 weeks peeps should be weaned of unemployment buy having their weekly checks become smaller and smaller. With less and less money coming in the incentive would be to try even harder to find work. This is probably more humane than throwing them to the lions.

After all unemployment benefits are not really a handouts but insurance.
