Most of the industry analysts know how Nok reacts when matters do not go as planned. They mount multiple attacks through the media, their website, court challenges etc. in order to gain any advantage available at the time. They have yet to be taken to the mat by the IPR companies who have been subject to the attacks. IDCC is hanging tough thus far despite multiple attacks including allegations of insider misconduct. They stop at nothing and recklessly run in the grey areas of legal business conduct.

Nok did the same thing to Qcom when it came time to update for 3g and renew its 2g license. They made public outcries that they had enough to go around Qcom and attempted to form a visible antitrust group to fix royalty with the major OEM's. The only thing they accomplished was to bolster the postings of erroneous information concerning the weakening of Qcom IPR on the IDCC chat boards. In the end, Nok signed the dotted line and Qcom is rolling along quite nicely as the largest royalty recipient in the sector for its own CDMA and the UMST W-CDMA IPR.

If NOk is not attacking or organizing outlaw vigilante groups, then that is the time to close your legs and grab your wallets because things are going their way.
