ziploc_1, thanks for the explanation. I guess IDCC will be looking for the whole enchilada if there is a settlement (3G deal might be the only incentive to budge a little on the 2G deal) or else it will be a panel decision that should serve as a warning to all infringers out there. IMO, panel is pretty much ready with the decision and is just holding off on it to give the parties some time to discuss. If the parties think (particularly if IDCC thinks) that they are not heading anywhere, they can inform the panel about the stand off and we would immediately get a decision. I am still expecting something within a month.
