First, there is no chance at this point that Gib or any board member could sell the product for his own profit, even if they wanted to. If he could do that, then the new board you suggest could also do the same. I think that if this had been our boards intention they could have done so a long time ago and saved themselves a year of their lives and a lot of headaches. So far, the only people who have made much money off this company are the original pumpers and lawyers. Lawyers stand to make money on this as long as various factions continue to fight for only their own interests.
With regards to a "good management team", I suspect you have someone in mind. I suppose if there was ever an eleventh hour need for a Hail Mary pass some shareholders would rather make a deal that would put us into questionable hands rather than see our product stolen for a pittance. As I said earlier, I don't think it will come to that point for many reasons, but it should be a warning to Bains et al, as he will recoup pennies on the dollar for all his investment should this "good management team" come on board, rather than making the millions he would otherwise through a position in Newco.
