ONLIME outfit Napster, which was reopened under new management, might be in trouble with the music business again after claims appeared suggesting users have found a way getting free downloads from the service. Instructions on how to hack Napster are appearing on sites like BoingBoing. (http://www.boingboing.net), Engadget.com and here [Designtechnica Forums - How to Rip Off Napster-to-Go]
The hackers have apparently found a way to convert the digitally protected files downloaded from Napster from one format to another that can then be burned freely onto CDs. Of course you have to buy the content in the first place but once you have the protected WMA files as WAV files, it's claimed you can do what you like with them.
Of course you could also buy the CD from the shops and do the same thing. µ
