C_M....Microsoft is apt to screw it up again.
Maybe not....but the potential is there because MSFT is
software centric. It does not want to fork over any applica-
tion to any model that is hardware centric.
If MSFT could eliminate INTEL, then it would be more than
happy to do so. If MSFT could engineer a PC into something
that is completely amorphous (no hardware at all!), then it
would be ga ga over it. Just imagine.....a PC embedded in a
human mind. No hardware necessary and all driven by WINDOWS!
This would be the ULTIMATE Microsoft achievement.
No more Intel...no more nobody. Just MICROSOFT!
So.....MSFT doesn't want the TCG. It just wants trusted
computing and MSFT wants to be known as the trusted computing
model. If MSFT could have trusted computing without the TCG,
then "LIFE WOULD BE SO GOOD!" acc. to Softee.
MSFT doesn't want the TPM based model. That's HARDWARE!!!!! ugh
YUCK....GROSS ME OUT! This is the way MSFT looks at the world.
It is all software and it is all WINDOWS!!! Nothing else
matters and anything that gets in the way must be CRUSHED!!!!
SO....where does that leave us?
Well, the fact is that MSFT is gonna fail this time because
software is no good when it comes to digital security.
Let ME REPEAT AGAIN. SOFTWARE SUCKS WHEN IT COMES TO DIGITAL
SECURITY.
why? because it is the software that causes the problem. It is
the software that provides the thousands of backdoors and
'unlocked windows' that can be accessed to break open a digital
systems secrets. MSFT locks up some doors and slams shut some
'windows' but then is confronted with another set of unlocked
backdoors and 'windows'. It goes on and on and on.
YOU CANNOT FIX THE SOFTWARE TO PREVENT THE HACKERS FROM
GAINING ACCESS. THEY WILL ALWAYS FIND ANOTHER ROUTE!!!!
PERIOD.
But Microsoft does not want to concede or announce this HUGE
FAILING IN THEIR BUSINESS EMPIRE. They will continue to force
these bogus software patches onto the world as long as they
can until some HUGE EVENT HAPPENS THAT COULD DRIVE THEM OUT OF
BUSINESS....and only then will they PERHAPS concede.
MSFT has a mantra: Never back down, never concede and always
move WINDOWS forward and CRUSH the opposition.
I don't know what MSFT is up to but I can tell you one thing:
if Longhorn comes out without a TPM centric model, then it is
D.E.A.D. as far as security effectiveness. It will be just
another failed attempt by MSFT. The wonder of it all is the
amount of money MSFT can spend all this worthless crap.
sheesh...
