One must always be prepared to overrule a machine. If the stock had dived the next day you yourself would have judged the sell-off to be the smart thing to do and you have popped open a bottle bubbles to celebrate the occasion!

Your decision was right. . you prevented the portfolio to suffer a possible loss in case the stock had dived!!!!!

"Do not be too greedy" is my Motto. . .If you are then some smart AIMer will take advantage of you, more often than you would care to experience.

Whether or not your judgement could have been better is a different issue that can only be determined after analysing a number of things in reference to your management objectives and stock behaviour.
