West was put in place because he was either stupid enough or desperate enough to take Urbie's mess off his hands. I will give him credit for "appearing" to be retiring worthless shares, however, it looks as if his goal is to restart CMKX as a diamond drilling company. Therefore, as we all know, there will need to be a huge reverse split followed by a huge issuance of new shares. If Gus is correct, than perhaps West was put in place as CEO illegally. I'm not a corporate attorney. Dang it though, I just got off the phone with one and should have asked him, but I don't know if a publicly traded corporation can just indiscriminately appoint a CEO without some sort of vote. Of course, considering the shares out there, Urbie and gang obviously had a majority of shares, but nonetheless, I would think a public vote would need to take place. Perhaps someone else can clarify.
