There is a big difference between buying Unocal and buying ERHC. Somehow I don't see the US government keeping the Chinese from buying ERHC. Besides, I don't even think the Chinese want it. They want a partner that has the technical competence to first and foremost figure out what is there and secondly to have the knowledge of how to develop what they find. That is the entity that might buy ERHC, not the Chinese.

So, my new working theory is the Chinese, with or without Addax, are in WAY over their heads, they have no idea about what they found, they are desperately searching for a technical partner to show them the way in the JDZ and they are totally clueless about how to proceed. And that is why they need someone smarter to take a second look just like ERHC said might happen.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
