Definitely! I eliminated preview several months ago after having it activated while receiving klez-infected e-mail. While my AV program detected and quarantined the virus, I think it's much better not to have that happen. Without preview I can look at sender and subject of each message and permanently delete strange e-mail [shift-del].

There MAY be a virus in e-mail from a friend who did not actually send it himself [his address was hijacked]. That's where the AV program comes in.
