uzualsuzpect, why would JPM give us cash when they can easily issue more JPM stock and pay us with that? You want JPM to pay us $12/share... That's ~ $20B in cash just for the WAMUQ common stock. That's a lot of cash and if you're JPM, it makes no sense. Thus, IMHO JPM won't pay us in cash. They will pay us with JPM stock and if you want cash, you can always sell your JPM shares.. I'm sure that's what they will tell Judge.. As long as they pay, she won't be able to force them to pay cash.

Now the FDIC is another matter... They may have to pay cash because they obviously don't have FDIC shares they can swap with us.
