Zeev, You state "About time alright, why did they have to wait so long" I have been saying for years that many reforms need to be enacted to clean up Wall street. I do not normally agree with expanding a federal agency but the SEC is one that needs more funding. Crooked behaviour by anyone trying to manipulate the price of any financial instrument should be punished at least as severely as the stupid kid that goes into a bank and steals a few thousand dollars. Another method for getting back to what the markets really mean would be the use of targeted tax policy. In my opinion long term investors in small companies should not have to pay capital gains taxes on investments held for 5 years. This would help new little companies get off the ground by encouraging stable financing. Another reform that could be coupled with fixing Social Security would be a 10% tax on all short term gains by ALL entities. I know that many here won't like this idea but the original purpose of the markets is being destroyed and that will in time result in serious harm to our country. Good Luck.
