Reporting to IhubDenizens that my problems have been solved. It's amazing to me.

(Well, not ALL my problems have been solved, but you know, the computer ones that were bothering me so much last night were!)

I put it there in case the followup to it there might be useful to someone else.

I have no clue why changing the name or deleting files called Normal.dot should have cured the problem. For one thing, why would bad files be called Normal? Why not Abnormal.dot?

You think I'm kidding I bet.
