You seem to be ignoring the fact that there are enough valid claims against WMI to "eat up" the $4 billion thereby preventing that money from ever being turned over, and yes , WMI needs the $4 billion.

It WILL be turned over just as soon as the Judge says to do so, that's the law, and it will NOT go anywhere after that, without the judge's further approval. Everyone knows this is true. NOLs that were originated from and that belong to WMB + the value of the "preferred securities", and other valid claims are in fact enough to prevent the money from ever being turned over to WMI.
