Rational is a relative and contextual term. I made great money off the rise of AAPL from $14 to $180, with 4:1 split along the way. But that took 8 years, and in the post-dotcom "irrational exuberance" era I've never made close to that kind of return in big board stocks. Options yield better returns, but are higher risk given the fixed timeframes.

On the pink front, have ridden many pennies 10:1, and a few 100:1.

Just a matter of consciously acknowledging that it's gambling, risking only what you're prepared to lose, and taking profits along the way.

From this perspective, pink trading (gambling) can be a highly rational game of weighted speculation, hedged bets (profit-taking on runs), and mass-psychological analysis.

99.99% of all pinks are scams. Best to assume the other 0.01% are as well.
