I've stopped laughing but I still don't think it's realistic. The kids already know all the benefits of abstinence and they know most parents favor it but they still ignore it. Conservatives are convinced this is because abstinence is not promoted enough while the rest of us understand that no matter how much you promote it, you are fighting extremely powerful human instincts that no lecturing or coercion will curb. That's why (IMO) the best way to deal with this and other social problems is to put the bible aside and face reality.
