I'm not so sure about that. I think you're referring to double/triple printing because of transactions using the 5th decimal place. As far as I know if there is an ask @.0004 and you buy @ .0004 it is printed once.
On the other hand if there is an ask @ .00038 and you buy @ .0004, the MM buys the .00038 shares which is the first print @ .0004 and then sells them to you which is the second print @ .0004
Either way I geuss we're forced to concede that those volume totals are overstated, give a take a couple hundred million or so...LOL
