Petz, Re: So far, I've not read any promises from Intel that its Prescott chips can have EM64T "enabled" at some future time. Are you saying that Intel will, IN WRITING, promise its customers that Prescott chips can have EM64T enabled when Windows 64 ships?

Petz, Prescott and Nocona are the same die. Nocona has already launched, and has been selling in workstation platforms for some time now, so EM64T obviously works, and it can obviously be enabled on the desktop whenever Intel wants it to be.
