I'm aware of the strength of your beliefs and yet we talk. I'm not going to second guess that.

I didn't know that you subscribe to "Earth Centrism".....good to know. It helps explain why you might be resistant to the idea of the existence of "aliens". With the trillions of stars and the planets that surround them, it would be illogical to assume that there is intelligent life only on Earth, but I understand that from your point of view, "God" could have seen to that. It would be easy for "Him" to create the light coming to us from an exploding star, that in effect never exploded. That pesky question of "Why" comes up again. Would not having done that, lessen your awe when you look at Hubble photos? The interesting thing is that we are getting a peek at the universe before it supposedly existed.

Again....it would be illogical to assume that one event like the flood could have caused the layering, with different isotopes in the layers but, as you say, with magic, nothing is impossible. The question of the "apparent" age still nags however. I could agree that an animal might have to be created fully grown, but I fail to understand how that would apply to ice.....or rocks, for that matter. Why would anyone question it if the data showed the Earth to be only 6K years old, if indeed, that were the case. But it isn't and questions arise.

Having been a Christian once upon a time, I understand your trepidation in these matters. To even entertain the idea that the Bible might not be correct is inviting eternal damnation. They really get ya with that one.
