One other point....

There is a lot of posturing going on and here Phoenix talks about being a bridge between a world that doesn't need TPMs and a world where TPMs are standard.

Fact is that SKS's position at both the shm and the EAP presentation is that:

Regardless of what anybody else is doing with security...TPMs further harden (make more secure) the existing technolgy.

Baltimore/HP might be a TPM/software threat, but Baltimore has been server centric its entire corporate life.

This stuff that goes BUMP in the night is always intitially worrisome --- just as reaction to pro-wave PRs is always over enthusiastic.

I'll still continue to bet at $1.08 that in the words of the song Pete Seeger made popular....We are slogging to Praetoria or was that Ubiquity..........
