There are numerous 3G systems commercially operational in the U.S., both CDMA2000 1x, and now Verizon`s EV-DO. The more germaine questions are why Lucent was sued only for the Tantivy patents, and not for infringement of IDCC`s CDMA patents, and why IDCC has not licensed LG, despite its booming CDMA sales in the U.S.?
