Nice thread. Ah...for the good ol' days. We were responsible for creating our own entertainment. The most heard request from my parents was to "Get outside!" Of course, there was the one rule...be inside when the streetlights came on. I still remember one time....40 years ago...when I didn't make in time. But I didn't hold a grudge, didn't sue, didn't call social services. I broke the rule and paid the price.
I also watched the uncut versions of Bugs Bunny, Road Runner, Mighty Mouse...you name it...and have yet to feel a desire to kill anyone. Well....to actually kill anyone.
