Cutting Corners, You asked. "What permit(s) would be needed to set up mining equipment? Would that be state, local, mining or open mining? All of the above? Some of the above? Other? How about a beginners permit?"

My question to the GA Surface Mining Unit (SMU)was in the context of the following information posted by Drake.

"Our initial step is to set up our processing plant and begin recovering gold as soon as possible. Further, we must work to get any additional equipment on-site in order to speed up production and maximize capacity. Fortunately, due to Georgia’s permitting process being reliant on the sale of minerals rather than the production of them, we can begin production immediately and concurrently with the permitting process, thus eliminating any unnecessary delays"

Drake may be able to place equipment on site without permits, but they WILL NOT legally be able to " to set up our processing plant and begin recovering gold as soon as possible."

The lady from GA SMU said anyone performing the activities described, w/o permits, would be "subject to civil penalties"

While on the subject of calls to Georgia authorities. Drake is already on GA SMU's radar scope. Rest assured. I'll see to it the GA SMU will read what I see as serious distortions attributed to them.
