Very good post. The convictions of it are eye-opening. But one thing I think should be taken into account is that the Word of God states that towards the end of Jesus ministry many of the Pharisees believed. I don't believe they believed to the point of standing up during a meeting and proclaiming Christ as the Messiah. Some may have even been in the meetings that were plotting to kill Christ, and they just slowly slipped into the shadows. We know also that Nicodemus came to Jesus to ask how he might be saved, he came at night as not to be seen and did not understand the answer Christ gave, I'm sure he left that meeting frustrated and angry. When Jesus said you must be born again his response was "so do I crawl back into my mother's womb"! Meaning he considered it ridiculous.

Jesus does many things we don't understand, and his comment would be to those hearing "for those who have ears to hear, hear". To smear mud on someone's eyes to allow them to see again might seem to be an insult, and to some it might seem as an actual remedy. But you and I both know that He only did what He saw His Father doing in heaven.

Jesus did not choose His own way but learn to follow after His Father. Though He was Incarnate Perfect and God. It is for us to do the same, though we will never be GOD. Thank you for your post it is received within my soul, and my spirit bears witness with you, yet we know our destiny, it is the same destiny as He that lives within us. None of the disciples got to retire the hills of Corinth. None of them were considered famous at the end of their days. Paul himself said all have abandoned me now, and if I choose to live its better for you but if I choose to die it would be better for me that I might dwell in the restful place prepared for me in Glory. May the joy of our Lord be our strength. When we are strong He is weak to our fleshly pitiful nature. When we are weak He is strong. When we pray for strength we are really asking for fleshly weakness. In God's wisdom we will appear as fools to the world. For the wisdom of God is foolishness to the world.

So yes the USA has now been deemed a mission field. But in truth the world is a mission field proving ground graveyard of sin that shall be at constant battle with His Truth of the Holy Spirit the only true comforter sent by Him to our hearts.
