That's not necessarily true!! It depends on his employment contract. There could be a clause that states all inventions are property of the corporation. For example....the transitor.....it was invented by a person (actually 2 people) but the company (AT&T Bell Labs) owns the rights to the invention. Therefore it's the property of the company.


It really depends on the terms and conditions of their employment contracts.
