EFF filed a request for reexamination alleging that EFF has found prior art that calls into question the patentability of certain claims in a Neom patent.

USPTO initiated the rt-examination.

Neom has a certain amount of time to submit responses to EFF's allegations and, specifically, the relevance of the prior art cited by EFF to Neom's patent claims. If Neom says nothing, the patent examiner will review Neom's patent claims in light of the prior art submitted by EFF and come to conclusions all on his/her own.

Conclusion: Neom really really needs to respond.
