i think we all agree that trucking that pile 280 - 300 miles by truck is a losing proposition (but 30 miles may be good) .. although the removal of the pile of tailings may be reclamation enough .. BUT, has anyone stopped to think that if the tailings pile is good enough to sell, then what's still in the ground may, logically, be a lot better .. after all, if the previous miners, who left the tailings pile rsds is now selling, quit the mine when production costs rose above the market value of that time then what is the current adjusted value of what's left down in the ground ????????? .. surely there is a record, somewhere, of the ore grade at the end of production .. wouldn't there be some type of 'well log' like on an oil rig ??????
