Milo, have you looked at production weeks for the 3000+ chips that have been reviewed? If they are old, that may be an indication that half the cache was defective, but if all recent, it would tell me that AMD is disabling good cache to create a new price point until the smaller die chips come out.

Then again, is the production date for the die or the date of packaging?
