the house I live in Az I put the stucco on myself
I have done a little of it and have friends that put it on houses every day
the paper you wrap the house with has chicken wire attached to it or you can call it lath but it is chicken wire.
the scratch coat is five parts sand to one cement
the brown coat is five parts sand to one cement
the color coat is sand and the color which is a senthedic

the only other way I know of is foam then brown coat then color.
the brown coat is still cement and the foam is wraped with paper with chicken wire attached to it

if you don't belive me go to home depot and check it out your self.

it does not interfear with any radio or micro waves.

I also lived in adobe and worked on adobe houses.
the older ones just had the brick with stucco over it with no wire
the newer ones had little metal hooks to hold the stucco on or chicken wire.
