I'm really screwed. After I re-formatted, I tried it 2 more times because I thought it wasn't working properly. THEN, I discovered what had happened. And, the recovery has installed all the original software (that came on the Master hard drive when it was new)onto the SLAVE hard drive.

I just can't believed this happened.

I've re-formatted my SONY VIAO 5 times. It has one hard drive that's divided into two particions: C & F. F drive was never touched. No problems.

But NO, HP can't be so simple.

I was warned not to buy an HP.

Oh well, at least no clients data was lost. Only personal photos. Many hadn't been burned to a CD yet.

Here's my advice to everyone: Get a USB 2.0 or Firewire External hard drive to back up your file and UN-PLUG THE DAMN THING WHEN RE-FORMATTING YOUR MASTER DRIVE.

Oh well, live and learn, I guess.
