Thank you all for the suggestions, and the link to unlocker.

But, no, that didn't work either.

I believe that the problem is the folder makes / has references to a no-longer-there disk drive someplace in my life. And believe me, there's been a lot of them that have come and gone.

But, NTFS just will not let it go.

Any other ideas are more than welcome.
