I store them in the bag, too. Every few days I take them out and turn the bag inside out so the dry side is inside. Then I dry off the onions--or let them sit out of the fridge until they're dry--and put them back in the bag and the fridge.

If they were nice and fresh when I bought them, they'll last much longer than four days. More like two weeks.
