I'm inclined to think/hope the volume had nothing to do with Anavex selling shares into the market.



XBI rebalances quarterly (3rd Fridays). Due to the price dropping 40% and inflows into XBI, State Street purchased 3.3 million shares for the fund on Friday (from 2.2 to 5.5 MM). These shares would have transferred at the close. Anavex could have sold some shares on Friday but rebalancing easily explains the trades
