I suspect some of that massive volume on Friday was Anavex selling some shares into the market.

That suspected activity, if true, doesn't sound good to me. If the company has four years (plus or minus) of runway with its current cash, why would it want to sell shares into the market at ~$5/share, unless it thought the share price would not be going up for the foreseeable future? Since it's not operating under any immediate financial duress, wouldn't it want to wait and sell shares at a higher price?

If it had to do with Lincoln Park, as I recall Anavex had some control as to when LPC could acquire shares.

I'm inclined to think/hope the volume had nothing to do with Anavex selling shares into the market.
