LWLG offers a polymer which when integrated into existing modulators results in PIC’s whose performance has gone through ALT (accelerated life testing) resulting in world records in performances.

The new modulators being developed by various companies contain exotic elements / compounds which when combined with this polymer offers incredible performance, reduced size and low power operation (sub 1V ). What’s not to like here?

The delightful thing about this polymer is that it has resulted in a switching process that is controlled by poled molecules that either result in a random formation that allows light to pass through or a poled formation (all aligned ) so that laser light is blocked. (Or visa versa). The switching is unbelievably fast because this is done at the molecular level thereby getting rid of any mechanical switching.

With these life time results done with modulators (with spun on polymers) now behind us the next step is the development of a pluggable transceiver with these tiny modulators inside (so small as to free up space in the transceiver for intelligence operations, encryption, and the like etc).

Why consider LWLG……. Because it is additive to any modulator being developed utilizing exotic materials….. LWLG can and does work with those developing modulators for the next generation.

So in a very real sense LWLG makes things that work well much much better. So really LWLG does not need to be viewed as competitive. “You make it and we’ll bake it” into the fastest, smallest, most energy modulator on the markets.

Of course I am expressing this in laymen’s terms intentionally. There are those here who are much more advanced in expressing the idea here with technical know how. You will find them in time.

Good luck. You will soon find out who to trust and not trust. Best in your search.
