No knead Sandwich Bread Recipe
This makes 2 loaves, for 1 loaf follow the = symbols
5 cups bread Flour = 2 ½ cups or (All Purpose Flour) 1/4 cup Sugar = 2 tbsp 1 Tsp Salt = ½ tsp 1-1/2 Tbsp Yeast = 2 ¼ tsp 2-1/2 Cups Milk = 1 ¼ cup or (Water) 4 Tbsp butter = 2 tbsp 1 Egg for egg wash (optional)
I used all purpose flour and water instead of bread flour and milk. It came out great.
Stir all in large plastic bowl, cover bowl, let rest 5 minutes, stir again rise 1 hour in covered bowl, put in bread pan let rise again.
On the last rise with the dough in the bread pan, for me it took longer than 15 minutes for it to rise. I’d say at least 30 - 45 minutes. You want the dough just a little over the top of the bread pan.
I also didn’t use butter and flour in the bread pan, I just used PAM.
Just remember fresh bread doesn’t last as long as store bought bread because it has no preservatives. This bread is so good right of the oven with oodles of butter, mmm mmm
