how about this in california....Insurance premiums for households have risen 35 % since last year... california insurance commissioners o.k. the rate increase because insurance companies are being hit with floods, wild fires, earthquakes etc....I called my agent and said I refuse to pay the higher premiums, and cancel my policy... she said why?.... I said your insurance company is in the business of selling RISK to high valued properties in the mountains and forests, and have been collecting the premiums when they KNEW THE RISKS INVOLVED... they should not have sold policies to these high risk properties, and the state and counties were at fault to issue building permits to build in these areas... now that the insurance companies have to pay, the jack up the premiums for my policy which is in a low risk area in north hollywood, flatland... I told her Farmers has it both ways, they cant lose money, because they can write high risk policies, then have the consumers cover THEIR RISK!!!!!!!!....I told her that I was insured by Farmers for over 40 years, never made a dime in claims on 2 policies that I carried with them... I asked her to cut me a deal, if she cant, then I will surrender the policies... I Paid thousands of dollars in premiums to Farmers for over 40 years,,, they got my new cars, vacations, clothes, etc, that I did not get... now they want mre?.... frig em!!!... Lodas
