Hi all - a little note I've sent to all my recent donors on the back of Elis James' video yesterday afternoon...I was on the way back from Velindre when Elis posted the video and my phone was pinging with messages about all the donations coming in. When I first started this GoFundMe page, I was replying to each person individually to thank everyone individually for their donation. However, thanks to a certain Mr Elis James, my donations have skyrocketed, and in between my radiotherapy sessions and chemotherapy, I am simply too exhausted to continue doing so.

I would dearly love to be able to send each of you a personal note, but, as above, I’m going to struggle to find the time to do that with the number of donations I’ve received over the last 24 hours. I want you all to know how grateful I am — whatever you’ve been able to afford to donate, times are tough for people right now and every pound is taking me closer to my first hurdle of meeting the upfront £75,000.

I am touched by the generosity of strangers whom I’ve never met, and your kindness and words of support have given me hope when I thought there was none. From where I started, with £0 in the fund and a prognosis pre-surgery of just 2-3 months to live, to surgery and then given 12-18 months, to now, within touching distance of being able to afford the initial costs of the vaccine, is something that I’m holding on to, and giving me real hope for a few more years with my family, friends and loved ones. I recognise there’s a long way to go to get to the end goal of £250,000, which will cover my three-year survival, but I cannot express how grateful I am to each and every one of you for giving me the start I needed.
