It was not that long ago they completed discovery. HDVY may not have found much during this process, which could have resulted in the agreement. My position has always been there is little evidence Intel has used this patent once ownership was clear. With the original ruling by judge Albright that the patent fails Alice, there was a real chance the patent could have been canceled. It may have been a simple risk/reward calculation. The question remains if HDVY will pursue other companies that are more likely infringing on this patent, or do they just sell the patent and close up shop.
